1. Data controller

Euan Livingstone, based in Dunfermline, Scotland, is the controller for personal data described here. Contact: hello@euanliv.click.

2. What we collect

Depending on how you use the site or portal, we may process:

  • Contact enquiries — name, email and message content you send via contact or booking forms
  • Client portal accounts — name, email, organisation membership, role, authentication data (password hash, optional 2FA, passkeys), billing address details you provide, and account status
  • Billing — Stripe customer and payment records linked to your account or organisation (card details are handled by Stripe, not stored on this site)
  • Contracts — signer identity, email and signature metadata when you sign via the portal
  • Technical / usage data — essential browser storage for preferences; cookieless Cloudflare analytics where enabled (see the Cookies policy)

3. Why we use it

We use personal data to:

  • Respond to enquiries and arrange consultations
  • Provide and secure the client portal (login, organisations, project status, contracts, maintenance requests)
  • Process invoices, subscriptions and related billing
  • Meet legal, tax and accounting obligations
  • Improve site reliability and understand aggregate traffic

Legal bases under UK GDPR typically include contract (delivering services and the portal), legitimate interests (running and securing the site, responding to enquiries) and legal obligation where records must be kept.

4. Client portal

Portal accounts are created by invitation only. Organisation administrators and Euan Livingstone may manage membership, roles and related records. If your account is deleted, you may be emailed to confirm that access has been removed. Session cookies or equivalent are used to keep you signed in securely.

5. Sharing

Data is shared only as needed to run the service, for example with:

  • Cloudflare — hosting, security and optional cookieless analytics
  • Stripe — payments and customer billing portal
  • MailerSend — transactional email (invites, resets, notices)

We do not sell personal data. Organisation members with appropriate access may see data relevant to their organisation inside the portal.

6. Retention

Enquiry messages are kept as long as needed to handle the conversation and any follow-up work. Portal and billing records are retained while the account or engagement is active, and afterwards for as long as required for legal, tax or dispute purposes. You can ask us to delete an account where we are not obliged to keep records.

7. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to certain processing, and to data portability where applicable. To exercise these, email hello@euanliv.click. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

8. International transfers

Some processors may store or process data outside the UK. Where that happens, appropriate safeguards expected under UK GDPR (such as standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision) are relied on by those providers.

9. Children

The site and portal are aimed at adults and organisations. They are not intended for children under 16.

10. Changes

This policy may be updated when practices or tools change. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when it does.
