Refunds and cancellations.
Last updated 8 August 2026
This page summarises how deposits, project fees and recurring subscriptions are handled for Euan Livingstone (Euan Livingstone Web Design & Development Services). Where a signed agreement or Stripe subscription says otherwise, that document takes priority.
1. Project deposits
Where a deposit is stated in a proposal, invoice or signed agreement, it is typically non-refundable once paid, because it reserves project time and covers early work. If Euan Livingstone withdraws from an unsigned agreement, any refund of fees already paid is at Euan Livingstone's discretion unless the law requires otherwise.
2. Project fees and balances
Milestone or final balances are due as set out in the agreement. Work already completed is chargeable. If a project is paused or cancelled by the client after work has started, invoices may cover completed stages and reasonable preparation. Ownership and handover of deliverables follow the signed agreement (often after full payment).
3. Subscriptions (maintenance, hosting care)
Recurring plans billed through Stripe (for example maintenance) renew until cancelled. You can usually request cancellation in the client portal or in writing. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current billing period, unless your plan or Stripe settings say otherwise. Fees already collected for the current period are not usually refunded mid-cycle.
After cancellation ends, monitoring, updates and related care under that plan stop unless a new agreement is put in place.
4. Failed or overdue payment
Failed Stripe collection or overdue invoices may pause services after notice. Resuming access may require settling outstanding amounts.
5. Bookings (photography, bagpipes, similar)
Date-specific bookings may require a non-refundable deposit to secure the date. Late cancellations (for example within 14 days of the date, where stated in the agreement) may forfeit the deposit and incur reasonable preparation or cancellation fees. Weather or safety postponements for outdoor or drone work are handled as set out in that booking agreement.
6. Consumer rights
Nothing in this policy limits rights that cannot be excluded under Scots or UK law. Most portal and project work is B2B for organisations; where you contract as a consumer, mandatory protections still apply.
7. How to ask
For subscription cancellation, use the portal where available, or email hello@euanliv.click. For project or deposit questions, include your organisation name and invoice or contract reference.
